![]() ![]() But, I also have not played Engineer yet, I just got done with Enchantress leveling, so she is next. This is because I tend to use the traps which debuff resistances with Enchantress, or do things like debuff armor on Slaveholder, so I can get those juicy *juicy* bonus damages from Boarmen/Goblin Drummers, or just use a triple-Wind Elemental with Wind Blades to whallop the heroes. Originally posted by SolusEmsu:Personally, I always like having traps before monster rooms. randomization constantly screws her entire concept over and you can't get a decent monster balance to hold. I've been stuck for months on her chapter 4 because you start with such crappy monsters, the randomization screws you up EVERY TIME, and more than once heroes just go through the troops, especially if there are champion heroes, not even hindered by the traps, and when they make it to the engineer herself it might as well be game over because she can't hold herself in a toe-to-toe fight, especially once they start staking them DOTs. very little chance to gain and rack up barrier points, and their efficency scaling doesn't compare to those of other masters.Įnchantress can get serious power escalation once you get her rolling, and slave-master has amazing boost to monsters for both damage and morale, but engineer doesn't have anything romotely as good to comapre. Many, if not most, traps get their efficency from having some build up before the heroes reach them, including her special promotion traps, but dungeon randomization could mean that traps come early in with no space to "prepare" the heroes beforehand, so the entire point of the trap gets tossed out the window!Īlso, you can love traps all you want but relying on units still remains the bulk of any hope to achive victory, and the units she usually has available flat out suck. ![]() the whole relience on traps just doesn't work mostly because of the whole "dungeon order is randomized each time" thing: like, I get it, you wanted to have a master that focuses on traps, fine. Video games: Darkest Dungeon, Slay the Spire, Dungeon Keeper, Final Fantasy, Divinity, For the King, Chroma Squad, Battle Brothers, West of Loathing and so many more. She's just not good. HeroQuest (Board Game), Naheulbeuk (French audio series), Kaamelott (the best French series), Monty Python (English series). When a group of adventurers encounters a group of monsters you positioned in your dungeon, a turn-based fight will happen! You will then be able to watch those heroes die! It's a reversed dungeon crawler: heroes will move through your dungeon and will trigger the traps you placed. ![]() Check their stats and resistances, then place the best traps and monsters to defeat them! When you think your dungeon is ready, let the crawl begin! How did we achieve that? By running many tests to find the perfect balance between management and dungeon phases!įirst, you will have to plan your defense against a group of adventurers. Like we've already mentioned, our game is a mix between Roguelite and Dungeon Management.
